It is SO very easy to get started, and there is SO much you can do. Open your mind and heart to learning. It's absolutely normal to feel unsure, apprehensive, even skeptical. But take these feelings to Jesus and ask His help. Our Blessed Mother is the great intercessor. From the moment of conception Jesus' and Mary's hearts beat as one. As part of the Holy Family she, along with St. Joseph, raised our Lord and Saviour. Mary knows her Son. And Jesus, her Son, will not refuse His Mother anything that is in accord with His holy Will.

Begin every day and everything with prayer. Your day when you awake, before you begin any of your chores or activities, on your way to dropping your children at school, on your way to work, on your way to caring for family members or friends, in recreational activities. In everything that you do turn first to God. Ask His help, and then ask our Mother for her help in glorifying our God as we go through each day. Ask her to teach you to love as she loves, perfectly and completely.

Close your day in prayer. Before you go to sleep reflect upon your day, confess to Jesus where you might have been weak and faltered. Ask Him for a restful night's sleep that you may be refreshed for the next day's journey. Ask the help of your Mother to continue to teach you and help you to love as she loves. Ask her to continue to lead you ever closer to her Son.

Learn as much as you can about our Blessed Mother. You've already gone through much or all of this website, but refer back to it often, and forward this site to any and everyone that you know. Help your family members and friends to begin to know our Mother and you will then have like-minded people around you who will be your support.

Learn as much as you can about our Lady. Refer often to the Scripture page of this website. The Tradition page is a great source for historical insight from the Church Fathers. Read about her. There are many, many excellent books that have been written about her. Learn Prayers to our Lady. There are many daily devotional booklets, books, and pamphlets available. Spend some quiet time with your Mother each day. Be sure they are from good Catholic sources. The Resources page of this website is a good place to begin.

Learn about our Mother's virtues. A virtue is a habit that has become second nature to you. Good habits lead to a good and virtuous person.

Resolve to put your Mother's virtues into practice in your own life, day by day.

Once again, 'Do not be afraid!'  Our Lord and Saviour is waiting for you! His love and mercy is so great and endless that He will forgive you anything that you've done if you are truly contrite. He has given us His Mother. Through her intercession she will lead you to a closer and closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

'.....Marian devotion doesn't thwart a relationship with Christ; on the contrary, it facilitates it.....She doesn't want a drop of Christ's sacrifice to be in vain.' ('The Marian Option', Gress, pg.109).
